How long have you wanted a career in Aviation? What are your goals?

I’ve been wanting to become a pilot from a very young age. The dream started when I was a little boy. I remember the day we had this fancy dress event at school and I dressed up as a pilot. I still have the picture.

What is your dream job?

Ultimately my dream job is to be in command of a huge jet, flying passengers for a living.

You started your training in Dubai, what was that transition like?

I completed my foundation school here in Dubai. The syllabus covered the basic aeronautical knowledge of aviation. So, the transition coming to Australia was pretty easy as I have sufficient knowledge to know the basics of aviation.

What has been your favourite part of learning to fly?

My favourite thing about learning to fly is that I am doing what I love and as they say ” if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.” So, I really did enjoy learning to fly with Airways Aviation. Also, you can’t beat the view, not many people in the world can say they have an office in the clouds.

What did you love about being in Australia?

Australia is a very beautiful, diverse and multi-cultured continent. What I enjoyed most being in Australia is creating countless memories with a group of strangers all from different backgrounds and ethnicities, who have all turned into a family now.

What’s the plan after this? Further training or putting your skills to good use?

After graduating from Airways Aviation, I converted my license here, in the UAE and have also completed my ATPL’s. Currently, I am getting my MCC course done after which I will start applying for the airlines locally.
